Cycling through the village of Lio Piccolo
This tour is free of charge and is exclusively reserved for guests of the Marina di Venezia Camping Village.
9.00 Meeting with your bicycle at the entrance to the Marina di Venezia Camping Village with the nature guide.
9.15 Departure to explore the Cavallino-Treporti peninsula, between the sea and the lagoon. The most beautiful way to enjoy it is by bike. We start out from the small towns along the coast and cross fields cultivated with asparagus, salads, courgettes, tomatoes and aubergines. After crossing the bridge over the Pordelio canal, you find the village of Treporti, where the first lagoon scenery can be glimpsed and you arrive at Piazza del Prà, a small square between canal and sandbanks. Here the lagoon definitively dominates the mainland. In fact, riding along the banks of the fishing valleys you will reach the ancient village of Lio Piccolo: a lido surrounded by the waters of the lagoon, whose tranquillity is only interrupted by the flight of flamingos.
13.00 Return to the campsite.
A 25 km route, all on level ground, almost all on asphalt, with short stretches on dirt road.
